There are lots of things people don’t know about Hungary. In various forms, it’s been around for a couple thousand years, and yet most of us are blissfully ignorant of the nation’s contributions to our world. For example, did you know that Hungary wasn’t founded by wandering barbarians who skipped breakfast one morning? In fact, Hungarians are not –as a rule– any hungrier than other people. Yeah, I know… blew my mind too!
Check out these highlights from Hungary’s long, storied history:

In 1825, István Széchenyi invented the matching moustache & unibrow combo.
- Hungarians came up with the steel spring and horse-drawn coach.
- Contrary to American mythology, it was Hungarian and Ford Motor Co. designer József Galamb who invented the assembly line… not Henry Ford himself.
- They were pioneers in the development of television, including the concept of plasma TVs, which were conceptualized by Kálmán Tihanyiin 1936.

Anti-Communist or Anti-Man-Love? Only the Hungarian, pro-democracy advocates who created the world's most awesome political poster can say for sure.

Yup, they invented that, too.
But perhaps Hungary’s most awesome creation would have to be ridiculously hot model and toplessness enthusiast Gyöngyi Pápai. Behold:

Class dismissed. And you’re welcome.
